RCIC – Rite of Christian Initiation of Children

Our RCIC program includes students from Our Lady of Fatima, St. Peter the Apostle, Holy Spirit, and St. Paul. The program is held at St. Peter the Apostle, 521 Harmony Street, New Castle, DE 19720 on Wednesday at 6:30pm. OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

• Are you someone who was baptized as a Catholic but never received the Sacraments of First  Communion and/or Confirmation? 
• Are you someone who has a family member or a friend who is a Catholic and you are interested  in becoming a Catholic yourself? 
• Are you someone who was baptized in a non-Catholic Christian faith and you are now  interested in converting to the Catholic faith? 
• Are you someone who was never baptized in any Christian faith and now you would like to be a  full member of the Catholic Church? 

If you are an adult (18 years old or older) and you answered “yes” to any one of these questions, then  the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is for you. The OCIA is a faith journey in which you deepen  your relationship with God and make friendships with other candidates and team members through Bible study, faith sharing and learning about the teachings of the Catholic Church. Adults are then fully  initiated into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and  Confirmation at the Easter Vigil. The OCIA for 2026-2027 will begin in September and registration is required.
